In its twelfth year, the Omaha Film Festival looks to significantly increase its educational reach with the continuation of the OFF Academy. Sessions will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 9 & 10 at the Funny Bone Comedy Club, directly across the street from the Village Pointe Theatre.
The three main pillars that the Academy is built on are ENTERTAINMENT | EDUCATION | INSPIRATION.
With industry professionals from across the country the two-day sessions will give students an inside look at screenwriting, acting, cinematography, film lighting, animation, editing, directing, and producing and will include hands-on interactive workshops targeting students in the disciplines they’re most interested in.
In addition to the Academy, the students are all invited to participate in everything the Omaha Film Festival has to offer which includes the Writer’s Theatre, the Filmmakers Conference, and the over 100 films that will screen at the Village Pointe Theatre from March 7-12.
